Our diamonds & precious stones

The Kimberley Process is an international certification scheme for rough diamonds, which brings together governments and diamond traders, with the aim of avoiding trading on the world market, the purchase of diamonds presented by rebel movements with the aim of finance their military activities.

The Kimberley Process is a binding agreement that imposes strict conditions on each participant. The Kimberley Process Certification System therefore secures the shipment of rough diamonds by certifying that they are not conflict diamonds.

The process relies on the contribution of the participants, according to the principle of “burden sharing”, supported by the diamond sector and by observers from civil society. From a legal point of view, the Kimberley Process cannot be considered an international agreement either, as it is implemented through the national legislation of each participating country.

MAISON .d and our suppliers are defenders of human rights and peace in the world. Our diamonds and precious stones therefore all come without exception from non-conflict zones.
